Mara brings expertise in federal consulting on renewable energy system overhauls, as well as Congressional legislative experience as a Fellow on environment and agriculture portfolios. She holds a Master of Public Policy with concentrations in environmental policy and inequality and social policy from UC San Diego, and worked in municipal, county, and regional capacities as a graduate student. A self-described political nerd, Mara is passionate about contemporary environmental challenges from a policy and governance perspective. She now resides in Southern Maryland around the Chesapeake Bay and enjoys trail running with her dog, riding her horse, and scouting out new beers with her husband.
